The iCOUNT Coalition

iCount is an inclusive data coalition with members from government, civil society, academia, networks and associations who are driving data innovations and working to increase visibility and inclusion of marginalised groups in global development data.

Our aim is to ensure an ambitious post-2030 global development data framework that measures what matters for inclusive realisation of the right to development for all.

Right now, the development data we have is generated by approaches from the past that were designed in ways that actively exclude and make invisible large segments of the population, including women in all their diversity.

We believe that data are more than just numbers, but a powerful tool for social transformation and positive change. Inclusive development data unlocks effective and targeted solutions that have real-world impacts in the daily lives of many.

Through our collective efforts, we are transforming the data landscape, addressing the limitations of legacy systems and championing a future where global development data reflects the diverse experiences of all people, informing policies that promote equity and improve the quality of life for all, especially those who have historically been unrepresented in data.
