A gender equal future needs inclusive data.
We need better, individual-level, gender-sensitive and inclusive data if we want to accelerate action for gender equality, improve policy and program effectiveness and drive sustained change for communities everywhere.
Yet, the majority of policies, decisions, and investments are still being made on data from legacy systems that exclude some lives by design.
Collecting data at the household level doesn’t tell the full story. And when people are invisible in data, they are invisible in policy.
Data that helps governments see and connect to lived realities is not only important for more effective policies and spending, but also in building trust and legitimacy. In the current global context, this has never been more crucial.
In playing the Count Me In! card game you have joined a global movement of advocates for better, more inclusive data systems that reflect the lives of everyone.
