New IDM data from a recent Solomon Islands study will be released in the coming weeks. Led by researchers from IWDA and Dignity Pasifik (a women-led research company based in Honiara) data collectors received in-depth training about the IDM and multidimensional poverty measurement before administering the survey in the broader community. See their reflections on possible uses of IDM data in the Solomon Islands in a new video launched today.
From March to April this year, the survey was conducted in two provinces of the Solomon Islands: Guadalcanal and Central. A total of 1862 respondents from 849 households were included in the IDM Solomon Islands study. The team is grateful to our cohort of data collectors in the Solomon Islands for sharing how participating in the IDM Study has changed their perceptions of poverty.
